Things that I want

I want to wear a green dress, or maybe a white dress that has a lot of green on or in it.

I want there to be music and fun and dancing. Maybe some games. Maybe some silly dress up and polaroids.

I want all the people that we care about and hardly ever get to see to be in the same place at the same time so we can party together.

I want there to be peonies, because they are so pretty. Even if it's just one for my hair. Even if it has to be fake because peonies are out of season.

I want food that tastes good, and I want to be able to eat it. I want everyone to have a good time.

I want there to be wine and beer (for the beer drinkers, not for me silly!) and maybe lemonade.

I want to run barefoot through the grass or maybe just dance around on a lawn.

I want to hold hands.

I want lots of hugs and kisses.

I want some of the symbols and to disregard the rest.

I want pretty underwear.

I want everyone to be happy, and happy for us.

And no, this isn't a pronouncement, or an announcement. I'll shout it to the moon when it's official. Just a list of things I want, things I was thinking about today.

Funny how that seems to be a topic on your mind a lot...
Sounds like how I want mine to be except that my dress is going to have blue instead of green.

For a second I read ponies and I thought you might be having an Indian wedding.

For some reason I now have the mental image of MLE with a mint green My Little Pony (plastic, because ponies are out of season) tucked into a beehive hairdo that's been looped with swags of jasmine. Other decorations are also tucked into said beehive, such as a sparkly crystal fairy pin, and other kind of flowers.

On a more serious note, I also have your dress in my mind's eye. It is white, but it has tons of green ribbon, all along the major seams and up the bodice.

I was actually thinking you could buy a salwar kameez or ghagra choli *easily* in those colours. Green is the official wedding colour for a few Indian ethnic groups (Konkani half of my family actually, my mom got married in green) so you could easily get a sari and have it made into something you like. I've seen several people who have saris made into these beautiful mid length skirts and then wear tanktops on them and it looks so casually elegant. You'd have to find a good seamstress, though.

You should totally have ponies.

One of my best friends is getting married at the end of the month, and her dress is pretty much exactly what QIR just visioned.

As metro sexual as this may sound, I love hearing about wedding stuff. Reminds me of the fun time my wife and I had planning our wedding.

Fun times, keep warm..

Heehee, Wheels has a wife! (And she's gorgeous, and seriously, Wheels, you guys had a beautiful wedding if the photos do it any justice)

(I will probably write about wedding stuff just for wheels when it's time to write about it, which isn't just yet, and maybe I'll put "wedding" tags on those posts so people who don't care about wedding crap won't have to read it.)

And shout it you did. :) I'm so on the hunt for a mint green my little pony now.
